The older cats are quite often right at the back of the queue when prospective adopters come and visit us.  To take on an older cat is SO rewarding, and more often than not you end up with a very faithful companion.  The time you will have together may be limited due to their age, but they too deserve to be able to live out their natural lives, and have all the home comforts to go with it.  Would they really choose to stay in care until their passing, which in most  cases would be several years, or would they want ‘a home to call their own ?’ There really is no contest as I am sure you will agree.

All the cats and kittens in our care receive all the treatments needed before we even think of putting them up for adoption. Some need extensive treatments due unfortunately to being badly neglected – but we aim to bring them back to full health again whatever the age.  Even a cat that needs little or no treatment before homing will still cost us over £100 – and this is by just carrying out the very bare essentials eg blood testing – vaccinating – microchipping – flea and worm treatments !!
