Our Veterinary Surgeon For Many Many Years, Has Sadly Passed Away.

Neil you tended our rescue animals for many, many years and your talented work and love for the animals you cared for will always be remembered.

We all miss you greatly and you will always remain a big part of Feline Welfare’s history.

Thank You for all your support, help, friendship, loyalty, kindness and for just being you.

Rest In Peace Neil – Gone But You Will Always Be Very Fondly Remembered.

PLEASE – PLEASE – PLEASE do not be tempted to give ANY animal as a present this Christmas, whether it be as a surprise or with the persons knowledge. It is THE worst time of year to introduce a new animal into the household.  MANY animals will be abandoned over or after the festive season.

‘Twinkle’ our little ‘Star’


‘Twinkle’ turned up in Claire and Roger’s garden – she was emaciated, dirty, flea and worm infested and her coat was matted. We have no idea where she came from, but we presume she had been living in the area, but where the owner is I doubt we shall never know.

Feral Cats and Kittens on the Isle of Wight

  The feral cats on the Island, and Nationwide, probably go pretty well unnoticed. Many people expect to see cats on farms, but really don’t think past that. Some feral cats do have a good or reasonable quality of life, especially if they are neutered, spayed and fed regularly, but unfortunately there are still far too many farmers and landowners who will not agree to neutering, and still continue their own methods of control, which are neither legal nor humane in most cases.
